Smashing Saxons

At the start of our amazing topic, Years 3 and 4 had some special visitors! Beotric the Saxon lord, his wife and his slaves came into Hayes to talk to us about Saxon life. The even had a battle using replica Saxon weapons on the school field, For the outcome of the Smashing Saxons topic, we created a model Saxon village and invited parents in to find out what we had been learning about.
