Hayes School - Maths

Mathematics is an integral part of the educational development of the children at Hayes. We endeavour to make maths enjoyable and in doing so build confidence through successful experiences and new challenges. Maths is planned and organised so as to be relevant and appropriate to the needs of individual children, following the requirements as laid down in the National Numeracy Strategy. Children are encouraged to question and explore in maths, to work practically where appropriate and to communicate using mathematical language
