Hayes School Council

Our constitution

Recently we have been thinking about our role as school councilors. Anna and Courtney, the councilors for Year 4, wrote the following:
As a school councilor's job is to represent their year group, they should do it properly and efficiently. Our promises are to:
* Interact with our year group;
* Try to fix their problems;
* Behave appropriately and follow the school rules, setting a good example to the rest of the school;
* Help people to care for each other, work hard and have good manners;
* Try to get good new things for Hayes School.
Our meetings go a bit like this:
* Firstly, we great each other and then we do the apologies;
* After that, we have a report from each year group.
* Once we have done the reports, we try and sort any issues that have been raised in the reports;
* Finally, we see to any other business.
Our Year 6 councilors have taken on these jobs:
Chairman: Ross Crispin
Vice-chairman: Saskia Hopwood
Treasurer: Cally Riley-Lowe
Fund-raising Officer: Lacey Hill.
